India’s Hidden Treasure

No it’s not me. Lol. When I talk to people about taking a trip to India I get the same responses; Taj Mahal, smog and poverty. I knew it could not be as bad as people made it to be so I had to experience it first hand.  When I landed in Dehli I thought to myself, “maybe they were right.”  I took a tour to see the Taj Mahal and it was beautiful.  On the way there it is easy to see the downfalls of such an industrial nation. On our way back I hopped on a plane and headed to the Andaman Islands. From there I got on a boat and sailed away to Havelock Island where I spent the majority of my trip. The resort I stayed in was a beachfront hotel but catered to snorkeling and scuba diving. The rocky shores and reef were right at your doorstep!  I walked down the rocky beach for  about 5 minutes and I was in  total awe.

Later on in the day I took a short drive to Ràdhanagar beach. It was everything you would imagine a tropical beach to be. The softest white sands, clearest blue waters, and surrounded by the greenest, lush trees.  I’m a beach girl at heart so this is everything I have been looking for. I stayed and watched the sunset which was an added bonus.

So for all you beach goers that want to try new things, try Andaman and Havelock Islands in India.  They are definitely worth checking out.
